BABY GIRL IS HERE!

Hadley Brynn Maehlman joined the world on Saturday, July 17th (her actual due date) at 3:30 in the morning. She weighed 7 pounds 11 ounces and was 20.75 inches long. It was a long and hard labor but worth every bit of pain experienced! We came home from the hospital on Monday morning and made our first outing to the Doctor today to have her Bilirubin level checked. Doctor said she looks perfect and that her B levels will go down but not for a while due to breast feeding. So...we have to get a little bit of sun each day to help get the levels down. She is the most precious thing we've ever laid our eyes on. Enjoy the pics below. There will be many more to come.

End of the Journey....

Well, here we are. We have 9 days until our due date. I still feel as normal as can be. I had my 38 week check-up on Wednesday and am still 1 cm dilated and 70% effaced. No change since 36 weeks. We are ready for this little girl to make her debut! I am still working full-time and plan on doing so until she arrives. Seems to make the days go by faster. Especially since something inside of me is telling me that she is going to come into this world later than expected.

I am now starting to get a little anxious about delivery. The not knowing when to expect it is a little (OK, a lot) nerve racking. I am also getting very anxious to see her sweet little face. I lay awake at night (since I can't sleep anymore) and think about who she is going to look like. Will she have her daddy's eyes and my nose? I think we all know that most likely she will have her daddy's height. Or well, maybe not all of his height. She might look at little funny at 6'7". That is the one thing that has measured large this whole pregnancy. Maybe she will get my thick hair.

That's all the updating for now. I'll try to keep everyone posted on her arrival. I haven't been great about updating this thing lately. And if you're lucky, I'll post an update on my niece and nephew..... :)
